Covid-19 Safety Measures

During restrictions, lessons will be conducted online. We use various platforms including Zoom (our preferred software), Skype, WhatsApp video, and Facetime.

All remote lessons run 27-28 mins long to allow for teachers to set up lessons.

When lessons are running face to face, the health and safety of our students and teachers are of major importance to us. To that end, we have implemented various safety measures at the schools, and in each of our rooms. All rooms are fitted with acrylic plastic sheets, separating student and teacher throughout lesson. Rooms are fitted with true HEPA air filtration units.

We require all students over the age of 12 to wear a face covering, and if any child under the age of 12 wishes to do so we'd strongly encourage this too, but it is not a requirement. We would ask that when wearing a face covering to make sure it is fitted on your face correctly and ensure that it covers the nose and mouth area at all times. If you have forgotten your mask please just ask a member of staff and we'll be happy to provide you with a surgical face mask for the lesson.

Teachers are requested to clean all door handles and equipment before a lesson begins. Students are advised to bring their own instrument where possible.

There are antiseptic dispensers available throughout the school. We ask all our students to use these.

We have changed the start times to 50% of our lessons. By changing the start times of lessons from on the hour / half hour to quarter / quarter past, we have reduced the traffic into and around all rooms by around half.

Covid 19 Safety Requirements

Keeping our Schools safe is of upmost importance to us at Everest School of Music. If a student feels
unwell, has a cough, fever, sore throat, breathlessness, we would ask them not to attend lessons but instead, please stay home and follow the HSE’s advice guidelines. We ask any student who has been in close contact with a person who has a confirmed or suspected case of COVD-19 to remain at home. All lessons can take place remotely, so students do not need to miss out. Please contact us in advance to arrange lesson remotely.

We ask all students and parents to keep their distance from other members of the public when
attending lessons. We cannot have children waiting for long periods of time to be collected so we do ask that all collections be made as soon as lessons are over. There is an area to the rear of the shop where they can wait.

On Site Lessons

Each face to face lesson is 30 minutes long. Within these 30 mins, teachers are required to sanitise the room prior to the next lesson. This process takes between 2 to 3 mins and we ask our students to please take this into consideration.

Everest School of Music reserves the right to refuse a student admission or tuition, who does not follow our Covid-19 safety requirements. Refunds will not be made up in any such case.
